One encounters many issues when one upgrades a WebObjects development environment from Tiger to Leopard. Information about some of them will be found here.

  • One set of problems can be avoided by having the correct version of the tools and the frameworks. I had installed the WebObjects that came with the Xcode distribution DVD with Leopard on a new computer. When I downloaded the iPhone SDK and installed the WebObjects that is part of that, and made minor changes to "kick the tires" on my EOModel, the problems vanished. (RayKiddy, Jan 20, 2009)

Another way to say this would be, "If you are migrating to WebObjects 5.4, don't stay on versions 5.4 or 5.4.1; update to version 5.4.2 (or 5.4.3) as soon as you can."
