This document lists projects that are out of the planning stage, but due to size/scope could always use additional help.

If you want to help out with the below, please add your name and the project keywords here.

  • Better Documentation: New WO Tutorials

Planned by Janine, womail "at" mac.com

Existing audio-visual tutorials for comparison:
http://rentzsch.com/webobjects/introTo5 , General Introduction
http://woworx.visionworxpro.com/ , Podcast for Beginners
http://tmaeda.s45.xrea.com/td/20060730.html#p01 , WebObjects + Ajax.Framework demo in 15 minutes

  • Better Documentation: Project WONDER

Jerry W. Walker offered to provide better WONDER documentation
http://lists.apple.com/archives/webobjects-dev/2006/Aug/msg01049.html

  • Better Documentation: WOLips FAQ (for Xcode switchers in 2006)

There is a getting started document already.

An additional FAQ for WOLips could be helpful for "switchers".

  • Advocacy sites

Various sites and URLs are listed below. Some people also donate Webhosting, Servers to the effort, please refer to the WO mailing list for details.

  • URLs from James Terry: WOForge to collect source code projects

> I registered WOForge.com, .net, and .org, and would gladly donate the
> domains and hosting to such a Foundation. We could use the domains
> now, while working towards formalizing the Foundation over the coming
> months.

  • Site planned by Mark Morris: WhyWebObjects (Advocacy ?)

http://www.whywebobjects.org
Please feel free to email any suggestions to me at markm "at" onpointsoftware.com. Thanks!
- Mark

Q Marc Oesch: Is the content from older whywebobjects.com still available ?

A Mark Morris: Unfortunately I don't have access to whywebobjects.com's old content. Dov Rosenberg might, since I believe he was the original maintainer of that site, but so far he's stayed out of these discussions, so I haven't pushed it.

Various people mentioned use of below tools to power the new advocacy, WO info sites.
Ie. use a WO CMS or build one based on WONDER 3.x for the advocacy sites later on.
